What do I do with my engagement ring

Should I take off my engagement ring for the ceremony or should my fiance put the wedding band on top of my engagement ring during the exchange?

The wedding band should be the first ring on your ring finger, then the engagement ring.  Rather than fumble at the alter with the switch, stow your engagement ring in a safe place during the ceremony.  If you do not want to part with it, switch it to your right hand before you walk down the aisle.  On the way back to the reception, your new husband can move your engagement ring back to its rightful place.

This is why you   us fake rings on a pillow.  Ask his mom to step in.  If she can’t stop the tyke form tossing it, don’t force him to walk.  Instead, seat him with his parents, and let the wedding go on without him.
